Through visceral and vulnerable waiata (songs) they invite audiences to engage and learn about Aotearoa New Zealand’s colonised past\, its present and hopes for its future. These are unsanitised\, undiluted histories that are delivered without apology\, encompassing the personal and political\, amplifying the ancestral echoes of te ao Māori (the Māori world) and giving voice to the injustices faced by indigenous communities today. As far as French Oi is concerned\, it is a clear defined genre\, that Claimed Choice take on with a younger and more rock n roll approach\, on the likes of bands such as Grade 2 or the Chisel – making themselves a core contributor of the new wave of skinhead music.\nTo represent our local scene – Slow Faction brings traditional ’77 punk rock to the stage. A band that needs no introduction due to their many years of activity and involvement in the London scene.
