SUMMARY:anarkita #5
DESCRIPTION:What does community and solidarity look like in parenthood/childhood?\nHow\, as parents/carers\, do we practice solidarity with children in an adult-centric society?\nIn times of increasing authoritarianism\, how do we challenge the language of domination and separation\, and create together with children a different language?\nHow do we sustain our radicality and best channel rage while parenting?\nHow do we avoid burnout and resist capitalist pressures (e.g. metrics and mandates of success\, productivity\, and happiness)?\n–\nanarkita is an invitation to children\, parents and caregivers (in any body) to come together\, to share and explore experiences of parenthood/childhood\, identify common needs/struggles\, and build a shared understanding/practice of solidarity. \nWe gather on the last Saturday of every month from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM at Mother House Studios (47 Slaithwaite Road\, SE13 6DJ\, South London).

From 8pm until midnight you can meet up with other anarchists for a chill time to chat\, gripe\, and possibly even plot.\nThe Red and Black Club is last Friday of the month. We do not have an alcohol license so none will be sold in LARC\, but feel free to bring your own booze. Suggested donation of £10 on the door\, but no one will be turned away for lack of money. Half of this will go to LARC to keep the space running and half will got a new zine called Anarchy which we hope to distribute for free.

SUMMARY:Dalston Solidarity Cafe
DESCRIPTION:Dalston Solidarity Cafe – Connecting grassroot networks over free food\, tea & community resources every 2nd Sat of the month. Generally 2pm-8pm.\nWhat we practically do is rescuing food\, turning it into delicious meals\, serving it together with drinks on a “pay what you can basis down to £0“. Over the arc of the day\, we also host a workshop\, generally held by other local mutual aid groups and collectives\, to then conclude with a film screening. From 2pm we also have an infoshop with zines/stickers/more\, and a free shop/book swap/clothes swap including free binders from Gender Swap.\nThe cafe takes place every second Saturday of the month at Halkevi\, the Kurdish community centre in Dalston (London)\, with open assemblies every Tuesdays before and after the event.\nThe space is wheelchair accessible (through the Tyssen Street entrance).
